Where People Come Together
While not trying to sound like a deranged fear-monger, it is a serious concern that I have for Americans that is not being addressed by the public media at all.
.
Please at least consider these questions and then answer them honestly for your own and your loved-ones' sakes:
.
[ ] If the highest risk of death in a regional crisis is dehydration, then how would you provide water to your family for a long period without electrical power to pump water into your home?
.
[ ] Do you have enough food today to get through a 40-day minimum crisis situation?
.
[ ] Ask yourself if you'd be eating regularly a week from now if your food sources ran out today and all the local food stores were already looted of all foodstuffs and would not likely be replentished over the next 40 days' time?
.
[ ] Are you aware that major grocery chains, because of the national economy, are no longer maintaining huge warehouse inventories anymore? For example, foodstore chains in 2007 had "reserves" enough for 15 to 20 days' of restocking reserves, but today they have three days (or less) of such reserves...because there already exists a food shortage right alongside continuously-rising wholesale food prices.
.
[ ] Did you know that in the event of a real (or even an imagined or publicly perceived crises) food stores could be stripped with 20 minutes by a panic-stricken public? For example, the "computer systems collapse of 2000" that never happened, but still resulted in a food grabbing panic in some places in the USA and elswhere, or when Hurricane Katrina was about to hit, food was purchased and/or looted (stolen) so quickly that less than 9% of citizens in and around New Orleans had enough food and drinking water to sustain them for even one weeks' time.
.
Experts in human survival have historically proven by exhaustive research that while a healthy human being can survive up to 30 days without food, that same person can only survive from only 3 to 10 days without water. Infants, the infirm and seniors don't fare that well and are in serious trouble in just a matter of a few hours or days' time.
.
In a worse-case scenerio, when power lines are inoperable, highways are blocked and public panic sets in, and food and transportation systems are crippled, only the "lucky" will be the most likely to survive 40 days after the crisis event occurs. This might include an EMP event that "fries" everything electrical into a pile of scrap metals (nuclear "high-in-the-sky" atmospheric explosions, perhaps presented by terrorists or nations like Iran; gamma rays from super solar storms); it might otherwise be caused by acts of terrorism against our national electronics arrays of communications and/or power, earthquakes, fires, floods, hurricanes, windstorms, and only-God-knows-what-else.
.
How to be "lucky": Those who prepare for a variety of crises best are those also credited to be the "most lucky" in the event of such crises.
.
Suggestions: If you could put off making an elective large purchase right now and instead stock up on water, food essentials, ammunition, etc., wouldn't it be smarter to get the things you need to insure your households' survival now instead of a week, month or even a year from today? If you want more details on this preparation concept, write me at Tom@TomBlairEA.com and mention the word "SURVIVAL" in the reference line of your e-mail to me.
.
Why am I writing this article? It occurred to me that the better prepared you and your household are then the less likely you will become a beggar or a panic-stricken looter at my front door when the next crises occurs. I have also learned that the U.S. Government increased its' purchases of "survival meals" by 7,000% in 2010-2011 for 140,000,000 (one hundred forty million) of those meals and have delivered them to at least three FEMA camps already in the SW USA...I figure they (FEMA) know something is about to happen that most Americans and their households are not (yet) prepared for.
.
At least food for thought and even action, is it not? Your worst enemy today is procrastination...only God knows what tomorrow may bring. Read your Bible, understand it, and then just do what it says...it also has a great deal of information about survival preparedness for you, your household and even your neighbors. Look up the phrase "lay by and store" for further motivation and spiritual enlightenment purposes today!
Comment
Don't expect any substantial assistance from local, state or national government entities in the event of a catastrophic regional or national crisis event. I look at the victims of Hurricane Katrina and how FEMA failed the survivors for weeks, months and in some instances even years.
.
Prepare for the worst and pray for the best within the will of Almighty God. In this manner you may indeed "make your own good luck."
